CFPD Payroll 50/50

The Community Foundation of Portage & District has partnered with local organizations to offer an opportunity for employees to enroll in a payroll 50/50 program, whereby tickets are purchased automatically off every paycheque, with a chance to win 50% of all ticket earnings that month, and the other 50% going into a CFPD fund that pays out annually to local non-profits or as a bursary for students.

This is a fantastic (and fun!) way to encourage your employees to contribute to causes that make a difference in your local community, while getting a chance to win some extra cash every single month!

What does my 50/50 Ticket Support?

The proceeds from each draw period of the Payroll 50/50 program go toward supporting either non-profit organizations in your own community, or to bursaries and awards that benefit local students.

For the first draw period (Oct-Dec 2026), the proceeds (50% of ticket purchases after fees) are allocated to the Orest and Eva Shewchuk Bursary Fund. This bursary is awarded annually to a student in the Portage la Prairie School Division who is pursuing further studies in the field of education.
