Applications are now open for CFPD's Annual "150 Women Who Care" Event and for the "Women Who Care Fund Grant" (deadline for both is Jan. 17, 2025)

Event: Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 7pm​

 

  • CFPD will once again commit to awarding a $10,000 Grant to 1 non-profit organization that evening.
 
  • 5 non-profit organizations will make a five-minute “pitch” to try to win the $10,000 Grant.
​​
  • Each woman in attendance will have 1 vote to select the recipient of the $10,000 Grant.
​
  • Applications are due by January 17, 2025 for those interested in pitching. 
​

Women Who Care Fund Grant

  • Each year, the earnings from the 150 Women Who Care Event are added to the Women Who Care Fund and the investment income grows.
     

  • Each year at this event, a grant drawn from this Fund is awarded to an organization, project, or initiative that focuses on supporting, empowering, educating, and/or investing in women and girls.
     

  • The grant amount for 2025 is $4730.00.
     

  • Applications are due by January 17, 2025.

We are the Community Foundation of Portage and District, a non-profit organization that serves the charitable needs of our local donors and grant-seekers. Our goal is to pool the contributions of donors, from all walks of life, into permanent, income-earning Endowment Funds that continue to grow in order to provide funding for local community priorities for many years to come. We believe in the power of generosity to create lasting change, and we work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of those in our community.

The week of November 12-17 is the Giving Challenge week. During the week donations made will be stretched. These gifts are pooled into an undesignated fund and permanently invested. Every year these investments generate money that is distributed to support local projects and programs in Portage & District area.
