Bursaries are Designated Funds created by the donor who has specified the criteria for the recipient to be awarded the income annually

PCI student who is dedicated & committed to multiple school teams during high school

• Barbara Alice Beck Scholarship Fund

To provide a bursary to a PCI graduate pursuing an education in the Field of Medicine, and more specifically in Nursing, and obtains top marks in at least one math and two science subjects

• Bill & Cathy Skyhar Bursary Fund

To assist one or more students each year who have experienced the death of one or more parents and are continuing their education at a post-secondary school or trades training​​​​

To be awarded to a PCI Grade 12 student who is pursuing formal education for a career in the field of culinary arts​​

PCI graduate pursuing post-secondary education and has achieved highest mark in chemistry

To assist students from Portage la Prairie, MacGregor & Neepawa attending a Diploma/Degree program in agriculture, animal husbandry, plant/weed science, or first year of veterinary course

• Charlie Oliver 4-H Fund

Recognizes outstanding merit in 4-H member from Portage Agricultural District

• Chuck Young Natural Resource Management Memorial Scholarship Fund

To assist one student pursuing a career in the field of Natural Resource Management at a post-secondary institute within Canada.  Applicants must demonstrate a strong desire for the outdoors, the environment, and to pass knowledge on to others through mentorship

• Don & Lois Booth Memorial Bursary

To assist one student each year who is enrolled or accepted at a Canadian University or College with a demonstrated commitment to peace, social justice and a history of community service or involvement

PCI graduate pursuing career in human nutrition or culinary arts

To assist one student each year who is currently registered or accepted in any year of studies in Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Medicine or Medical Rehabilitation including, without limitation, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy

To assist 2 students each year who are currently accepted or registered in any year of studies in Pharmacy, Laboratory Technology, Radiology, Dentistry, Medicine or Medical Rehabilitation including, without limitation, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy & Respiratory Therapy

PCI graduate with min average of 70%, attending a university or college for more than one year and active in school/community

• Maxine Edmondson Award Fund

PCI graduate who plans to enroll in university or community college & who has achieved honors standing in Math 40S

• Nell Owens Award in Excellence in Writing Fund

PCI graduate with exceptional writing skills in prose and/or poetry; accepted/registered at post-secondary school

• Newton McCleary Scholarship Fund

PCI graduate with highest grade average & who has been accepted into Dept. of Agriculture at U of M for degree in Agriculture or like Sciences

To assist one student each year who is currently accepted or enrolled at a Canadian University or College who is pursuing a degree/diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting or Administrative Studies

To annually assist one student whose life has been affected by MS either personally, or in the family, and/or is pursuing an education in the Science or Medical field

To annually assist a student from the Portage area pursuing a career requiring above average Math skills such as medicine, research, teaching, engineering, accounting, business management or architecture.

PCI graduate who achieved highest cumulative standing in 300 Level Math, Chemistry & Physics and is accepted/registered at a post-secondary school

PCI graduate accepted/registered at a post-secondary school and participated actively in school & community
