On Friday February 15, 2012, Eric and Lisa Kristof along with CFPD Treasurer Wayne Klippenstein presented cheques to Big Brother and Big Sisters and Child and Family Services Foundation. Eric said “The whole purpose of this fund is to support children within the community, and that’s why we’ve chosen these organizations.”
Dawn Froese, Executive Director of Big Brother Big Sisters accepted a cheque for $750. Dawn remarked, “The money will be used to go towards mentors for children, along with provide funding for activities and programs within the organization. Froese is very thankful for the donation adding they really appreciate all the support.
Jody Fletcher, Administrator for Child and Family Services Foundation, accepted a cheque for $1000. The amount they received will go towards their “Chance to Grow” programs which funds economically disadvantaged kids to take part in a whole spectrum of extra-curricular activities, such as taekwondo, swimming, violin lessons, figure skating, dance and even the boy scouts.
