Imagine Canada's Canadian Directory to Foundations & Corporations

Many projects initiated by local community groups need more funding than CFPD can provide. Often having the support of CFPD, you can leverage funding from other funders, so we encourage organizations to search for additional funds.

In 2007, CFPD partnered with the Portage la Prairie Regional Library to provide online the Imagine Canada’s Canadian Directory to Foundations and Corporations. Charities and not-for-profit organization may access the Directory on the Library computers to search for much needed funding for their projects. TreeApplications and Deadlines

The Community Foundation of Portage and District is committed to increasing the ability and capacity of local organizations to meet current and future needs. The income from our "community fund" is used to provide grants to qualified groups that are actively engaged in strengthening our community. The Foundation invites enquires and applications from not-for-profit community based groups working within the fields of health care, education, arts and culture, recreation, environment and social services. Applicant organizations must be registered charities or be affiliated with one.

Application deadlines are April 1, September 1 and December 1.
