Sports and Recreation Fund
Two local sports enthusiasts, Jack Thomson and Glenn Arnott, have created a new "Field of Interest Fund" with the Community Foundation of Portage and District called the "Sports and Recreation Fund."
Over the past few years, their donations to the Community Foundation have been accumulating bringing the fund to $5000, the amount needed to establish a name fund.
The interest from the Fund will be used to support sports and recreation projects created by charitable organization in the Portage District. By starting this Fund, the two gentlemen hope that others will add to it to ensure continued support for sports and recreation activities for all ages.
