Allan Greenberg Memorial Fund (Portage Plains United Way)
In memory of their Uncle and friend, David and Barry Greenberg created " The Allan Greenberg Memorial Fund". The income from the $10,000 Fund shall be distributed annually to the Portage Plains United Way.
Allan was the youngest of Hirsh and Jennie Greenberg's seven children and the only one born in Portage. He was a self-taught accountant who worked with his brother, Israel, a lawyer and later with his nephews, David and Barry, who continue the law practice. Allan never married but his greatest joy was spending time with family and he always had time for children.
A fitting tribute to a man who was very active in the community and gave generously to both Jewish and general community causes throughout his life.
